Cyclocross – NBX Weekend Results
The individual and overall standings have been updated from this past
NBX weekend and posted to the ECCC calendar . Thanks for all those
that came out to this weekend given the short time frame that it was
The Men’s A race saw Patrick Bradley of Rutgers make his return to the
collegiate scene after having raced the past couple of weekends with
his Elite squad. Patrick recorded wins in both Saturday and Sunday’s
races. Andrew Lysaght from MIT made the step up to A’s for this
weekend and recorded two solid second places behind Patrick to help
MIT to the team overall for the weekend. Peter Hagerty got enough
points to secure the Men’s A season overall as well as the Division II
overall. Patrick has a strong lead over Michael Rea of UVM for the
Division I overall.
The Women’s A race saw the dominate MIT women’s team taking the top
two place both days with Laura Ralston grabbing the top spot on both
days. Christina Birch took second place both days to secure enough
points to move into the lead for the Women’s A category. Christina
now leads both the Division II and Women’s A overall with Jess Kutz in
first for Division I but second overall.
In the Team race for the weekend, MIT was able to secure victories
both days thanks to strong showing in the Men’s B races coupled with
their A results. Rutgers and RIT followed behind for second and third
respectively. This tightened up the season overall team race in
Division II with RIT in first followed by MIT. In the Division I
race, Rutgers was able to add to its division and overall lead and is
well out in front of UVM for the season overall with only 2 races
Next weekend will see the ECCC take on the Ice Weasels Cometh on Dec.
10th followed the next weekend by the conference championship races.
Remember double points are on the line at the championship races not
only for the individual races but also the team races.
